STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Plans, directs, and supervises the implementation of municipal public health programs and primary health care services in accordance with DOH policies and LGU priorities.
• Provides medical consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and referral services to patients in rural health units and barangay health stations.
• Leads diseases prevention, surveillance, and control activities.
• Manages and monitors national and local health programs such as maternal and child health nutrition, immunization, TB control, and mental health services.
• Enforces public health laws and health regulations, and recommends appropriate measures to protect community health.
• Supervises and provides technical guidance to health personnel and barangay health workers to ensure quality service delivery.
• Perform other related tasks as maybe assigned by competent authority.
